They say there are two different kinds of people, those who have read Lord Of The Rings and those who are going to read Lord Of The Rings! For those of you who have been living in a cave or on another planet then Lord Of The Rings is possibly one of the greatest books (it’s actually a trilogy) of all time and definitely one of the top fantasy books!

The book was written way back in the 1950′s by J.R.R Tolkien and are still as relevant today as they were 60 years ago. It was said that Tolkien came up with the idea for the books when sat in his back garden over-looking the hills he imagined different races going to war with each other and having amazing battles between good and evil. It was this point that Middle-Earth was created in Tolkien‘s mind and he started writing a trilogy which would become one of the top fantasy books of all time!

The story itself is basically one of good and evil, on one side you have the fellowship which include Hobbit‘s, Wizards, Elf’s, Warriors and Dwarfs and on the other side you have evil Wizards, Orcs and other creatures such as the Balrog and for those who are scared of spiders….well…we wont even go into that.

To try and condense the story down into just a few paragraphs is really doing these books no justice at all but for the sake of you who have missed out so far on such a great read i’ll do my best without spoiling the story.

One day a Hobbit or Half-ling as they are known throughout Middle-Earth called Frodo takes possession of a powerful ring, this ring has a very powerful history and is wanted badly by the evil Sauron. It becomes his mission along with a group of companions to make sure that Sauron never takes possession of this ring or Middle-Earth will be taken over by the evil that is Mordor.

The book goes into fantastic detail about Middle-Earth and all its races, tribes and armies along the way. If you have seen the movies that many of you most likely will have, then you have basically seen the watered down version, dont for one minute think it’s a waste of time reading them as the book takes you to places that the movie simply can’t and ultimately didn’t! If you are soon to be browsing the internet or shop for your next read, make sure it’s Lord Of The Rings, probably one of the top fantasy books of all time!

Seventh Journey Book Signing - Square One Mall - Chapters

A Book Signing for Robert Graham's Seventh Journey, Book 1

Hi Everyone!

Please be advised that due to Black Friday sales this weekend, my book signing date has now moved to Sunday December 2nd 2012. The location remains the same, so I'll be setup at Chapters / Indigo @ Mississauga's Square One mall. The times are also the same, meaning from 11am - 3pm (at a minimum). Thank you for all of the positive feedback regarding my second major book signing.

The time of year is perfect, as there should be a nice influx of people due to holiday shopping. I also have a few little surprises planned for the signing, which should help generate some urgency and interest, but I can't say what just yet! I really look forward to seeing you all there. I appreciate the support... and remember, Book 2 is on the way, expect it by next summer!   Sincerely,   Robert J.R. Graham

This will be the second major book signing event through Chapters Indigo, following the successful event at the Indigo by Bay & Bloor. The event at Square One will be a much longer session, spanned over two days! I'm really excited, as I'll get a chance to meet many fans in the west end, which have been asking when my book will be available in stores. Well, now we know! As of November 24/25th, Seventh Journey Book 1, and future books in the series will be available in Mississauga. I'd like to thank the folks at Chapters Indigo for making this all possible. A special thanks goes out to Stacey Greaves, my Product Development Manager, who continues to arrange fantastic product showings, and events! Stacey is a good friend, and who has been an amazing help in contacting, and setting up events in major book stores across Ontario! He's great at what he does, and I'm fortunate to have him in my corner. Future events are planned, potentially in London, Ontario, and down town Toronto, including another visit to the Chapters at Bay & Bloor. I'd like to thank everyone who has helped make this journey a success, you continue to inspire and push me forward! Thanks again to my readers who continue to make this experience possible. Also, a big thanks goes to everyone out there searching for Seventh Journey Book 2! It's on it's way, and I can't wait to bring it to you! Keep searching for updates, they are on the way! Tamara - Character Profile

Tamara is a beautiful and powerful warrior from another universe accessible only through the "Auditum Headset."  She is first seen in one of Jacob's dreamworlds, and later becomes his dimensional guide.

A citizen of the "Summerlands," Tamara lives in a realm where people have advanced powers and abilities using only their thoughts.  She demonstrates this in combat by leaping extremely vast distances, and dematerializing at will.

Tamara anticipates Jacob's arrival, and soon reveals that her world is in danger, and so is Jacob's.  Over time, a love develops between them, as Jacob trains and prepares himself to stop the impending onslaught.  Tamara spends much of her time helping Jacob train and reach his highest potential.  She hopes this will be enough to stop the great evil now unleashed.

A destructive entity known as Luzige has awoken and plans on destroying both of their worlds.  His motivation is causing fear, and achieves this through total enslavement and punishment.  Now, it's a race against time as Tamara and Jacob attempt to stop Luzige before it's too late.

Jacob Cross - Character Profile

Jacob Cross is a research scientist working for the Netex Corporation.  He is an average, educated professional who got involved with a covert government project which changed his life.  He was hired by Netex due to his background in harmonics research, and was thought to have the skills to get the "Auditum Headset Project" off the ground.

His research uncovered more than he bargained for.  The headset not only worked as designed, it did something else entirely... it opened a portal into another dimension.  At first, not being sure that the effects of the headset were real, Jacob questioned the technology and his very sanity, but once the two dimensions started crossing over into each other, it was impossible to deny.

In the other dimension, a warrior female named Tamara awaited his arrival, and shared with him his intricate destiny.  It was with her that Jacob learned of his past, and his inevitable future.  She demonstrated powers of unimaginable force, and showed him his ability to do the same.  By being armed with this knowledge and skill, Jacob was prepared to take on the demon threatening both of their worlds, the unstoppable Luzige.
