Council On Foreign Relations: A Conversation with Feisal Abdul Rauf

The latest in the developments of a Mosque / Community Centre at the World Trade Center site. So… why am I showcasing this video, which comes directly from the Council on Foreign Relations?

The Council on Foreign Relations has been subject to much controversy over the years, but aside from that, they have released this video to help bridge the gap between the Muslim and the Christian worlds. The intent of the video is to assist with understanding, and expression of religious tolerance.

My opinion is that religious tolerance is itself an oxymoron. Modern religions are not tolerant of others. They continually point fingers at the other religions, and cast their members / followers to hell or eternal damnation. And if it’s not eternal damnation that they face, it is at a minimum denial into the kingdom of God which follows this life experience. It is time that we stop dividing ourselves in such a manor, and simply realize that we have… for thousands of years… debated between the concept of “Little God vs. Big God.”

Little God is a God that is some things… and not others. A God that is only positive, but not negative. A God that created some, but not others. Where the idea of a Big God actually encompasses ALL THERE IS. Not some of what’s there… or a little of what is… but ALL THERE IS. All peoples, all worlds, all galaxies, all life experience are created within the paradigm and construct we know as GOD. When God is ALL THERE IS, it’s a very simple concept to understand… as even modern science suggests that matter is not solid at all, and as we look deeper and deeper within the constructs of matter, that itself is empty, and full of energy.

We too are mostly empty, and full of energy. We are made of the same material with which the Sun… Stars… and Solar system is created. The same elements that created the earth, are used to manifest the human body. The only difference between us humans is our beliefs, and through looking at what we believe, we will finally realize we are ALL ONE. These of course are just my opinions, but they are shared by many others… and perhaps when that understanding hits critical mass consciousness, our religions will change. We will change… to include a wider concept of God… and of Life… and that religions themselves are beliefs, which need to continually be examined in order for the evolution of ourselves to occur. Thanks for reading.
