Attract the Universe and Achieve Your Goals

The Universal Law of Attraction can be a very effective tool in making you achieve your goals and practically everything else you want to have in this lifetime. You will realize that desire should always start from within, and the world will just obey your thoughts, actions and ideas. Here are some guidelines on how to get your objectives just the way you want.

Ask the Universe

According to the Universal Law of Attraction, ask the universe and it shall give to you. However, to achieve your goals, you have to truly have an idea about what kind of thing or event you want to happen in your life. There are plenty of items that you can ask from the world. The most common are superficial things such as money, a new car, a new house, etc. More meaningful items include better relationships with your family or wife, happiness in your job and life, etc. All of these can be given to you at the time you want and in the extent you need. The Way You Ask

The way you ask the universe will also matter. Keep in mind that the universe will immediately hear and respond in the manner you believe in. Your first thought might go, ‘I want a brand new Ferrari.’ The world will then respond, ‘Your wish is my command.’ However, other thoughts can still enter such as, ‘But it may still be when I’m in my 40′s.’ or ‘But it will happen when I get the promotion.’ or even ‘It can’t happen.’ The world will just say yes to everything you inject in your thoughts.

The time, extent, severity and other details of your wish will be determined by your mind alone. If you have any doubt or disbelief about the power of the universe to provide, then it will truly give to you accordingly. Make sure you clean your thoughts thoroughly so that you set your goals straight and allow the universe to perform the best way.

Your Actions

Once you and your personal development consultant have set your goals and asked from the universe, your mind, thoughts and body will start acting automatically to lead towards the goals and objectives. You will subconsciously accomplish small tasks and open up a wide array of opportunities that are meant to direct you to the ultimate mark. Renew your goals each morning as you wake up and your body will just function immediately towards these.

Work both consciously and subconsciously. Remember that it also requires effort and discipline on your part to receive the best things in life. Do not expect everything to just fall into place. If you want to land that promotion, then you should start going to work early, volunteer for projects and show that you are prepared for bigger responsibilities.

Staying Positive

The Universal Law of Attraction helps you achieve your goals, as long as you remain positive. Always believe that the universe is capable of providing immediately. Anything can actually happen, in the time you have set. Always be optimistic in the face of adversary. It is not impossible that you will encounter a few problems along the way, but what’s more important is how you relate to the situation in a positive light. Be conscious about what’s happening and act to alleviate the effects. How Your Thoughts Attract Unseen Spirit Helpers

A little known piece of information concerning the law of attraction is that its effects apply not only in the physical world but also in the next world. This is a metaphysical truth. It is so because of the law of correspondence. The law of correspondence specifies that what happens on the physical plane, must also take place on the etheric plane. This law is referenced in the Bible as “on Earth as it is in heaven.” Another famous saying is “As above, so below. As within, so without.” This ancient mystical saying is attributed to the teachings of Hermes Trismegistus. It was made known to the public by the mysterious author of the book – The Kybalion . The law of attraction and the law of correspondence are universal laws, meaning that they apply to what I call the multiverse. The multiverse encompasses both the physical universe and the invisible universe. Some universal laws such as the law of polarity apply only to the physical world, since labels such as good and bad and happy and sad are human concepts. Human concepts are not applicable to the invisible world. Some metaphysicists would argue against this. In any case, the law of correspondence specifies that whatever happen on this plane must also occur in the next. Therefore, the law of attraction must work in both worlds.

Many of us are familiar with the tenets of the law of attraction. Thankfully, this universal law was made known to the world through effort people like Rhonda Byrne who wrote The Secret. The law of attraction carries out and fulfills that which is demanded by law of correspondence. So if a person has a thought that he or she would like to own a certain house, not only will that house manifest for the person in this world, an energetic duplicate of that house will materialize somewhere in the next world. In fact, prior to becoming physical, a thought form of the house will appear first.

What’s interesting about this process is the fact that it draws spirits and other extra-dimensional beings to you; just it attracts other people to you on this plane. For example, my thoughts attract a certain spirit who was a prominent writer in his former life. He provides me with the material for my books and articles. This information comes to me intuitively. When I have strong thoughts about my material he shows himself. Occasionally I see him as what I can only describe as “lines.” Recently, I was having a discussion with my companion about my metaphysical theories at a restaurant when I saw these distinctive lines. That was an unusual place for my spirit helper to appear. When this happened I realized that my conversation brought him to me at that location. He does appear at other times, like when I am around a medium. However I am sure that my thoughts telepathically draw him to me. It’s like a spirit entity experiences an irresistible pull in the direction of the person generating the unique thought vibrations.

Anyone can attract spirit helpers to themselves by focusing intently on the spirit’s appearance. Be ready to receive instructions from the spirit helper. This amazing summoning technique is best done before going to sleep or upon awakening in the morning. It can also be performed in meditation. The reason for this is the relaxed state we are in at those – times. Eventually you will intuitively know when your spirit helper is with you. Be patient with this process. Impatience only thwarts your efforts.

The Real Secret

In 2006, a film named The Secret was distributed virally through the internet followed subsequently by a book. In no-time The Secret became a cultural and social phenomenon attracting interest from media figures such as Oprah Winfrey, Ellen DeGeneres and Larry King and criticism from the mainstream press.

The Secret consists of a series of interviews related to the idea of optimist thinking. It states that everything you want may be accomplished by wishing for it. This is called the Law of Attraction. As described in the film, the “Law of Attraction” principle states that feelings and thoughts can attract events, from the workings of the cosmos and interactions among individuals in their physical, emotional, and professional affairs.

The Secret lists three required steps — “ask, believe and receive” — as the essence of the Law of Attraction:

Ask

Know what you want and ask the universe for it. This is where you need to get clear about what it is you want to create and visualize what you want as being as ‘real’ as possible.

Believe

Feel and behave as if the object of your desire is on its way. Focus your thoughts and your words on what it is you want to attract even if you have to trick yourself into believing it.

Receive

Be open to receiving it. Pay attention to your intuitive messages and signs from the Universe to help you along the way as assurance you are on the ‘right’ path. As you align yourself with the Universe and open yourself up to receiving, the very thing you want to manifest will show up.

New Thought and the Law of Attraction

Essentially, The Secret is … touting the principles of the New Thought movement that began in the late 19th century as the historical basis for their ideas.

The idea stated in the Law of Attraction was used widely by New Thought writers. They referred to the idea that thoughts influence chance. The Law of Attraction argues that thoughts (both conscious and unconscious) can affect things outside the head, not just through motivation, but by other means.

Various scientists have stated that many of the Law’s claims are impossible, violating scientific principles and a scientific understanding of the universe. Instead, the Law may be explained as an illusion created by the connection between self-confidence and success or by one’s own perception, like the placebo effect.

I watched The Secret with my family after it was released in 2007. Even my 9 year old daughter was fascinated with the film and glued to the screen. The idea that my kids will believe that they just have to ask, believe and receive what they want, scared me. If this is true all of us would be healthy, wealthy and successful. But this is not the case.

It is a dangerous belief, and unfortunately a popular one based on the success of The Secret, that you just have to think about what you want to get it.

I have no doubt that positive thinking, optimism and creative visualization are important. But an important foundation for success in life was not mentioned in The Secret.

Rhonda Byrne, The Secret creator, told a Newsweek interviewer that her inspiration for creating The Secret was her exposure to Wallace Wattles’s book The Science of Getting Rich. Reading The Science of Getting Rich will no doubt leave you feeling that the most important foundations of success were neglected in The Secret.

The first foundation is Effective Action.

Wattles writes that thought is the force that causes the creative power to work for us but we must not rely upon thought alone, ignoring action. This is where thought and action meet. Wattless suggests that action will be taken a in certain way. We must act effectively now!

We have to act decisively, effectively and efficiently. We don’t want to procrastinate with our decisions and actions resulting from our thoughts.

There is no other time than now. The past is history and the future does not exist yet. We even don’t have any guarantees that we will make it to the future. Every thought should be converted to action at the current moment. How many times we told ourselves “we’ll start it tomorrow, next week, next month, next year…and we never started”. When tomorrow, next week, next month or next year arrived…we were busy with something else that consumes our attention, focus and priority.

The second foundation is Enhancement.

As leaders, or just human beings, our main goal is to enhance, advance and enrich every person we come in touch with. We inspire, encourage and motivate everybody around us. Everybody wants to enhance life. Everybody wants more of his or her life. We have something to give to somebody else that is just looking for that something. We just have to make a conscience decision to act on it. Teachers, physicians, psychologists are professions that enhance other people lives. But it doesn’t mean that each of us in our own roles of profession, family and community cannot find a way to enhance other peoples’ lives.

Sure we can!

Whether you work as an accountant, customer support, salesperson, administrative assistant or clerk, you have something unique that can enhance, enrich and advance other peoples’ lives. If we find it, we will redefine our purpose and start a new journey toward our true life mission, success and leadership.
