The Mystery of Enlightenment

by: Paul M. Jerard Jr.

Initially, enlightenment is living in the present moment and accepting your situation as it is. That is a pretty heavy task for anyone in any time. It is often said that an enlightened person cannot be angered by small talk or negative energy.

Many people are humble and believe that they will never be enlightened in this life. They also believe: The goal of enlightenment is too vast for the average person to achieve. However, should you just give up?

What can you do to attain enlightenment?

You should meditate daily: This will help you connect to the world around you. This is an awareness of plants, animals, people and many things around you that are often not appreciated or overlooked.

Meditation will enhance awareness of yourself, everything around you, and the connection between the two. This will bring out the ability to see reality as it is – with the ultimate goal of reaching a state of “pure consciousness.”

Understand the value of prayer, mantras, and singing. Even if you only practice in your mind, this will strengthen positive energy within you. Many people resort to theses practices; to gain comfort in times of need. This is a shame because you can gain the positive benefits of prayer, mantras, and singing, any time.

Remember, enlightenment is not a race: You would be shocked at the number of people who put pressure on themselves to be “instantly enlightened.”

It is good to have goals in life, so creating a log to track your progress is a beneficial practice. Your log may track your meditation sessions, your ability to deal with, or diffuse, negative situations, your ability to create positive energy and project it to others, and your ability to see reality.

If you continue the process of keeping and maintaining a log, your results will be encouraging. You may also want to join a group with compatible religious beliefs, search for a teacher, or share your practice with a friend on the same path.

Lastly, do not be frustrated by uncertainty and learn to accept what you cannot control. If all humans could maintain enlightenment, we would experience world peace. We could all accept each other, despite differences of culture, nationality, color, sex, religious beliefs, or any other thing humans can find to develop a pre-conceived notion about each other.

ACIM – Reality vs. Illusion

“A Course in Miracles“

is a self-study thought system, about undoing the blocks in awareness to the experience of love. It’s unique in teaching forgiveness to reach inner peace and the remembrance of the unconditional love of God. It is not a religion, nor does it require anything except your willingness, motivated by your own search for meaning in life.

A Course about ACIM itself…

Corrective learning begins with the awakening of spirit, and the turning away from belief in physical sight. (p. 22)

There are no idle thoughts. (p. 27)

Only those who give over all desire to reject can know that their own rejection is impossible. (p. 43)

Do not ask Spirit to heal the body. Ask rather that Spirit teach you the right perception of the body. (p. 146)

A therapist doesn’t heal, he lets healing be. (p. 161)

You will remember everything the instant you desire it wholly. To desire wholly is to create. (p. 164)

What is healing but the removal of all that stands in the way of knowledge. (p. 188)

What could you not accept, if you but knew that everything that happens, all events, past, present, and to come, are gently planned by One Whose only purpose is your good? (?)

You may believe that you are responsible for what you do, but not for what you think. The truth is that you are responsible for what you think, because it is only at this level that you can exercise choice. What you do comes from what you think. (?)

About Love…

Perfect love casts out fear. If fear exists, then there is not perfect love. (p.12)

Love will immediately enter into any mind that truly wants it. (p. 55)

Anger involves projection of separation, which must ultimately be accepted as one’s own responsibility, rather than being blamed on others. (p. 84)

You have so little faith in yourself because you are unwilling to accept the fact that perfect love is in you, and so you seek without for what you cannot find within. (p.293)

The search for love is but the honest searching out of everything that interferes with love. (p. 267)

Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it. (?)

ACIM about reality and illusion…

This is a course in miracles. It is a required course. Only the time you take it is voluntary.

Free will does not mean that you can establish the curriculum.

It means only that you can elect what you want to take at a given time.

The course does not aim at teaching the meaning of love, for that is beyond what can be taught.

It does aim, however, at removing the blocks to the awareness of love’s presence,

which is your natural inheritance. The opposite of love is fear,

but what is all-encompassing can have no opposite.

This course can therefore be summed up very simply in this way:

Nothing real can be threatened.

Nothing unreal exists.

Herein lies the peace of God. (Intro)

The hidden can terrify not for what it is, but for its hiddenness. (p. 265)

Nothing you see means anything alone. (p. 268)

Clean but the mirror and the message shines forth. (p. 271)

Fantasies are the veil behind which truth is hidden. (p. 316)

Whenever your thoughts wander, enter with Him into a holy instant, and there let Him release you. He needs only your willingness to share His perspective to give it to you completely. (p. 323)

There is nothing outside you. (p. 358)

Heaven is not a place or a condition. It is merely an awareness of perfect oneness. (p. 359)

Let your self be one with something beyond it. (p. 361)

Seek not to change the world, but choose to change your mind about the world. What you see reflects your thinking. And your thinking but reflects your choice of what you want to see. (?)

Every thought you have makes up some segment of the world you see. It is with your thoughts, then, that we must work, if your perception of the world is to be changed. (?)

Every situation, properly perceived, becomes an opportunity to heal. (?)

Spiritual Awakening

The Process of Spiritual Development

by: Keith McGregor

There are basic steps the average beginner needs to be aware of when starting their journey on their spiritual development awakening.

We use the process of guided meditation exercises to help us with most of the psychic growth. If we can read and understand these processes of psychic growth we can then progress with much more speed. Knowledge is power. A very good process of understanding psychic development is called PREVAILE.

P.R.E.V.A.I.L.E

PROTECTION

Protecting yourself before and during a guided meditation is essential. If your intention is for the highest of good, then you are pulling positive energy towards you and, as like attracts like, you will only receive positive communication. Your intention is your protection.

ROOTING / GROUNDING

As you increase your energy vibrations, you need to keep the balance of “what comes in must go out”. Rooting yourself consciously allows your body to expel any excess or old energy through your feet, thus keeping yourself balanced.

ENERGY / CHAKRAS

Spirit are on a higher energy vibration so we need to raise our energy levels to increase our ability to communicate with them during meditation exercises. The method used to increase our vibration is to open and close our chakras (Energy centres). With practice this linking to the higher energy becomes more natural.

VISUALISATION

During a guided meditation, you visualise within your mind. This is to improve your ability to accept what you get from spirit. When spirit communicates with you, their usual first step is to put visual pictures directly into your mind. We practice this through guided visual meditations.

ACCEPTANCE

The next step in development is to accept any visualisation that comes into your mind, even if you do not know where it came from. Accepting that it came from spirit is the only path you must take. Do not think it is your own imagination. Accept what you get!

INTENTION

Your intention for the highest of good is everything. Whether you seek inner peace or wish to share your gift with others, your intention is your guide. Your intention will draw to you that which you desire as long as it is for the highest of good.

LANGUAGE (SPIRIT)

Each individual person has a unique way of communicating with spirit. Meditations enable you to develop your own language with spirit using your own spiritual abilities.

ENLIGHTENMENT

Once you have become “au fait” with your spirit language and your abilities then, over time, you will find the inner peace and enlightenment you seek. You will have the confidence to accept all that you receive and understand the reasons why your life is as it is, feeling you are at one with the universe.

Are You Living In Fear Based On Your Past?

by: Lorna Blake

I was listening to Gary Quinn, Abundance Coach to the Stars, as he discussed this topic. And he said most of us are living our lives based on our past. What happened in our last relationship, our last job, our last experience with, fill in the blank?

Does that resonate with you? I got goose bumps when I heard it because it made perfect sense to me. Been there and done that.

Anyway Gary Quinn suggests that if you keep holding on to the fear you’ll create exactly the reality that you don’t want. He recommends bringing yourself into the present moment. And what I got from that was the importance of being present in the right now.

I read Eckhart Tolle ’s “The Power of Now” and it’s helped me become more mindful of the times that I’m not present. Have you ever done an activity and you were so far away in your mind you forgot you had done it? Ever driven and been so preoccupied you went right past where you were supposed to go? That demonstrates you’re someplace else. Come to the present moment. Breathe.

Gary Quinn talks about tapping into the reality of a different future. That you let go of the past and forgive yourself. I’d like to add: forgive those who you feel may have wronged you.

He suggests that you create a statement that makes you feel great. I recommend using these present tense statements to develop a blueprint for what you want.

To do this look at your life and get clear on what you want. Plan for what you want instead of what you don’t want.

Experience the feeling of what you want and live in that feeling all the time.
