How To Analyze A Dream

by: Kevin Sheldrake

There are many theories as to what ‘dreams’ are. Doorways to the subconscious, glimpses into the spirit realm, or visions of the future – at one point or another we all probably subscribe to one or more of these theories. Personally, I believe that dreams are the ways in which our subconscious minds attempt to show the conscious that the cold hard view of the world we see while awake is not the only dimension of existence. The most marvellous kind of dreams are ‘lucid’ dreams. These occur when you realize you are dreaming, but stay in the dream. At that point you can usually start to control the dream. This has led some researchers to think that dreams are simply random ‘processes’ in the mighty supercomputer that is the human brain, firing off as the system slips into ‘power saver’ mode!

Whatever your beliefs, you will no doubt at some time or other wonder what one of your dreams ‘means’. The first thing to remember is that the subconscious mind deals in images, not words. So try to focus on the imagery of the dream, not the language. Nevertheless, you need to record your dreams on paper or dictaphone so you can study them later. The main problem here is that when you wake up it may take you several minutes to remember that you should be writing down your dreams, by which time, of course, they will have evaporated into thin air, so keep your pen and paper near the bed. You may wake up in the middle of the night, and if you don’t immediately write down the dream, it will most likely vanish forever. This is what poeple who say ‘I don’t dream’ really mean – they simply can’t remember their dreams!

Once you have some raw material to work with, how do you interpret it? Interpretations of dreams are highly personal, although there are a few culture-specific symbols we all seem to share (such as ‘snake’ meaning sex, for example). Other symbolism may be obscure to your, but you need to remember that your subconscious is trying to show you something, and even if it is couched as a riddle, it makes sense on some level.

The trick is to look for repeated imagery – these are symbols your subconscious believes are truly important to you at this point in time. What symbol is the most significant or confusing to your waking mind? Make a note of it. You will by now have realized that it is not only the actual symbols that are important when interpreting dreams but the feelings and implications your conscious attaches to those symbols. Without both sides of that puzzle, you can’t interpret dreams accurately.

Most people have several types of dream, the most common probably being the ‘anxiety’ dream. On one level, this is your subconscious trying to let you know that it understands there is a problem and sympathises. On another level, if you can unpick the puzzling symbolism, you may find that your subconscious has actually supplied a solution to the problem, and this is particularly true of recurring dreams. Something really important is being communicated – can you accept the message and act on it? Because until you do so, the dream will recur.

Dreams and the Unconscious

Logical Thinking and Absurd Thoughts

By

power-subconscious-mind Almost all your thoughts are basically absurd because your conscience is under-developed. This conclusion is the result of my research and discoveries after continuing Carl Jung‘s research in the unknown region of the human psyche through dream interpretation.

Today you can understand how your brain works by easily translating the meaning of your dreams. The unconscious mind that produces your dreams works like a doctor and teacher. You’ll learn what is logical and what is absurd. This is how you’ll find sound mental health, peace and happiness.

Logic is a complex reasoning system. Logic could be defined as the pursuit of solutions through thinking. Thus, logic is a collection of all the paths you follow when trying to find solutions for various problems. Depending on your personal knowledge, intelligence, psychological balance, and sensibility, you will be able to find the solutions you need, or you will feel overwhelmed without being able to conclude anything.

However, you also depend on the external reality, which doesn’t depend on your thoughts. Your thoughts must get adapted to your reality. Therefore, if your thoughts are theoretical, the logic you follow is absurd because it is disconnected with the external reality.

Through dream interpretation you are going to learn how to recognize absurd thoughts that come from your anti-conscience. The anti-conscience is your primitive and evil conscience, which didn’t evolve like the human side of your conscience. It invades your human side by sending you many absurd suggestions. However, you cannot understand that these suggestions are absurd from the beginning.

You must follow the guidance of the unconscious mind in your dreams in order to get rid of the negative influence of your anti-conscience. Your anti-conscience generates absurd thoughts, trying to eliminate your capacity to think logically.

Positive logical thinking is based on a relationship with your environment and the others around you. It is not an isolated thinking that doesn’t take into consideration the facts of real life.

Positive thinking is also based on a relationship between your thoughts, feelings, sensations and intuition. It is not a narrow-minded thinking that neglects analyzing all the factors that are part of the human existence.

Absurd thoughts are based on selfish and secret ideas. When you listen to the absurd thoughts that appear in your mind, you follow the selfish logical system of your anti-conscience. You become a slave of your ego.

Absurd thoughts are also based on immorality and hypocrisy. Thus, you must be very careful and never abandon your moral principals. You must also learn how to be sincere. Lies will imprison you into the labyrinth of craziness. Only the truth can save you from despair and show you how to find a healthy psychological balance.

The unconscious mind that produces your dreams shows you the truth in a symbolic form. The unconscious advice must be accepted by your selfish ego, and hidden from your evil anti-conscience. This is why you have to learn the meaning of the symbolic dream language in order to understand the unconscious messages.

The dream language is very simple once you understand the unconscious logic. My simplification of Carl Jung‘s method of dream interpretation will help you easily translate dream images into words. This way you’ll learn how to eliminate absurd thoughts, and develop positive logical thinking skills.

Christina Sponias continued Carl Jung‘s research into the human psyche, discovering the cure for all mental illnesses, and simplifying the scientific method of dream interpretation that teaches you how to exactly translate the meaning of your dreams, so that you can find health, wisdom and happiness.

Interpreting The Most Common Dreams

by: Kevin Sheldrake

The most common dreams, according to surveys by http://ift.tt/1gtgh4T are dreams of falling, flying, being naked, and of your teeth falling out. Close runners up include dreams of flying, and of exams.

Strangely, these dream themes are fairly consistent across all cultures, and may well reflect a deeper facet of the human condition than we would ordinarily suppose. Lets look a little closer at the interpretation of these dreams, starting with the common dream of falling.

The basic interpretation draws your attention to the possibility that you may have insecurities or general anxieties. Often, this dream is your subconscious telling you that it is not happy with the level of control you appear to exercise in your life, especially work or relationships – wise. The feeling of falling reminds you that once a fall begins, the ultimate destination is the ground (although contrary to popular legend, you will NOT die if you hit the ground while asleep!).

Often reflecting an internal feeling of failure, either at work, school or in love, falling dreams according to Freud indicate your desire to give in to a sexual urge of some kind.

Next, let’s look at dreams of losing your clothes in public. The situation usually starts out normally, and may seem very ‘real’ – you may be going about your day to day business working for http://ift.tt/1gtgh4T when you suddenly realise you are naked. Oops! the obvious interpretation is that in your real life, you are hiding something, or are ashamed of something, and are internally terrified of the secret being exposed. Clothes hide a multitude of sins and other problems, so the removal of them is quite significant. Naked, one is defenceless. and facing up to the need to take action to address a problem you are currently hiding is the first step in dealing with this dream.

A secondary interpretation of dream nudity is that it represents the fear of being unprepared for something – a work task, school, financial demands and so on. If no one else in your dream has noticed, then a further interpretation becomes possible – your fears may be unfounded, and your subconscious is trying to tell you just to ‘get on with it’ and stop worrying.

We will continue this series with dreams of being chased and flying at http://ift.tt/1gtgh4T next time.
