What (or Who) Inspires My Writing?

I consider myself to be an extremely self motivated person.  There is a very large yearning to tell my story, and share the ideas I have floating around in my head.  I have found that “Personal Mastery” or “Self Mastery” or “Mastery in Living” is the most important area people can spend their lives.  The learning and growth never ends, and as you grow it adds more benefits to other aspects of your life than you can imagine.  Through introspection, and self knowledge, I have come to understand the many motivating factors of my personality, and I can utilize those triggers to create and actualize whatever I wish.  You can do the same.

But how does this apply to your life?  Here’s an example.  People often ask me, how did I write and publish my book with a full time high demand job, martial arts career, and a pregnant wife?  The answer is that I have applied my will.  There are no short cuts, there are no easy answers.  The answers may be simple, but they are NOT easy.  They require effort, and diligence to reach your goals.  But once you realize this, you just get on with it… and hence start to see the fruits of your labour over time.  My first book took 7 years from start to published.  Hopefully the second book will be out in much less time, but the important part of my story is that I kept up with it.  Much like I have with my martial arts training… I have just kept up with it, and trained diligently to be at the skill level I’m at.  It takes small steps, and lots of them… whenever you can fit them in.  But just keep pushing, keep going, keep on, keep on… and eventually you will see your dream come to life.  The alternative is you could just sit on your couch and play video games or watch movies… and that’s OK.  Nothing wrong with that, however you may not find the same level of satisfaction out of your life experience.
