Do What You Resolve To Do

Simply Do What You Resolve To Do

by: Daniel Sitter

Human beings are complex beings composed of physical, mental, emotional and spiritual components. We are creatures of habit. Most of us resist change, tending to yield to that which we find comfortable. We often feel threatened by complexity and technology, preferring that which is safe and familiar. Proclaiming a resolution or goal for the New Year is fun to announce and discuss but often difficult to begin, much less accomplish in a timely manner.

Our brains work in mysterious yet somewhat predictable ways, as scientists have recently discovered. Did you know that the act of simply writing down your new resolution and reviewing it often, possibly by placing it in a place where you will be exposed to it often, such as on the bathroom mirror, drastically increases the odds that you will indeed accomplish that goal? Take time to re-write your goal each day and increase your success rate even more! In fact, if you will simply read and/or write your goal each morning when you arise and again each evening before going to sleep, you will enable your subconscious mind to work on driving you towards it when you awaken again. This is a truly amazing phenomenon that actually works. It has worked for me and countless others, and it will work for you as well.

We now know that it takes no less than three weeks to form a new habit. If you have decided, for instance, that you will drink a glass of soymilk each morning as part of a heart-healthy strategy, you must actually consume that soymilk each morning, preferably at the same time, for at least three weeks before it becomes habitual. You will learn to enjoy it and will surely miss it if you do not have that refreshing drink on any given morning! You see, it is really that simple.

Anthony Robbins teaches that we are all driven by the emotions of pain and pleasure. As humans, we continuously seek pleasure and avoid pain at all costs. If an activity, dieting for instance, is associated with pain and discomfort in your brain, then you are going to find it quite difficult to institute any quality, successful dietary program unless you change how you feel about it. If you associate great pleasure with the thought of your body with twenty pounds less weight around your mid-section, then you probably will have the drive and conviction to deny yourself those tempting extra calories. You will associate great pain and discomfort with the image of yourself as you currently are. The pleasure associated with a lean body will drive you through the temporary, short-term discomfort of the diet.

The truth of the matter is that all resolutions or goals are basically a matter of personal decision. Brian Tracy, a master trainer and expert in personal development says it all in one simple statement: “Simply do what you resolve to do.” Nike says “Just do it.” Yoda says “Try? Try? There is no try, only do.” There is no simpler, more direct description of how to achieve ongoing success in any personal endeavor. Decide what it is that you want, make your plan to achieve it and get busy!

To Live A Prosperous Life

Four Things You Must Do To Live A Prosperous Life

by: Daniel J Thorley

Are you currently in need of financial rescue? Would you like to know what things you need to do to get out of that rut and get into abundance? Would you like to know what you ought to do in order to start living the life of your dreams? If you answered yes to any of the questions asked above, then this article will surely help you.

Dream Huge

I know that many people are used to the idea of dreaming big. The problem with the word big however is that it sort of limits you. It doesn’t exactly create a picture of something big in your mind. However when you use the huge, it conjures up images of something really big. For example, if I say that guy is really huge, without even seeing him, you can imagine how big he is.

Now, that you get the explanation, start thinking huge. Big isn’t big enough, huge or even humongous is more like it. Brian Tracy once said that you should imagine yourself living a life where there are no limitations, no challenges, what would you do? Think about that for a moment. . . I bet that if you tried doing that consistently, you will be amazed at how stretched your mind will be.

Start Visualizing

Research has shown that people who consistently visualize themselves being successful, doing what they love eventually get there particularly when they visualise it as an occurrence in the present, not the past or future. The reason this happens is that after a while the mind takes over and starts broadcasting your thoughts to the universe.

This, way, you attract those things that you have visualized. The mind is a powerful weapon and most of the time; it will do everything in its possible best to reconcile the disparity between your current physical status and what you are living in your head.

Take Action

Most of the time, you don’t necessarily have find someone who will help you. Most of the time, the mind will help you to start attaining that status by simply inspiring you. So, if your dream had been to become a multimillionaire, you will get inspired with an idea that will generate millions in revenue and profits for you. So, as soon as you get inspired, take immediate action. The keyword here is immediate. Anything less and you may lose out on the opportunity.

Increase Your Knowledge

Ignorance is no longer an excuse these days. It used to be, but now, with the internet and all, you cannot afford to not know. You have to increase your knowledge as you cannot give what isn’t already inside you. It has got to be in you before you can regurgitate it. Take the time to study and get informed. This is the only way to stay in the lead and prosper. You can easily get used versions of good decent books for less than the price of a Big Mac . So, don’t let the lack of finance be an excuse for your ignorance; no one wants to hear that anymore.

Control Your Destiny

Control Your Own Destiny

by: Gerri D Smith

“You cannot control what happens to you, but you can control your attitude toward what happens to you, and in that, you will be mastering change rather than allowing it to master you.”

-Brian Tracy

In order to make choices that may change your destiny, you must first know yourself and what you are creating moment by moment. What you do in the present moment brings you closer to being in command of your destiny. When you focus on past experience and the knowledge you’ve gained from school, work, society, economic, and spiritual training, you can begin to know yourself.

Human nature is created so that you can choose your destiny, and then control it. The key is to be one of the few who know where you are going and exactly how to get there. To do this, you must realize that life is changeable. With each change along the way you develop experience. You enrich your learning.

Since your life is always in a constant state of creating and developing, you create your own story by choosing the direction you want it to take. With any one decision, you can change your destiny. You have the power to do this: it is called making choices. Without it you’d just be following the masses and letting others control your destination.

The repetition of certain thoughts also plays a huge part in determining your destiny. This is why it’s most important to be aware of what and how you think. Some thoughts that may bear repeating include:

  • To always show positive feelings toward others. Negative thoughts and feeling are limiting.

  • To know you’re smart even if it takes you a little longer to understand a point.

  • To know that failures can lead to success.

  • To welcome problems – they are learning tools.

  • To know that there is untapped skill and creativity in everything you attempt.

  • To remember that God put you on earth to win.

  • To know that prosperity comes to those who believe it will happen.

  • That giving quality service to your customers may result in a quantity of customers.

  • To know that valuing your own self and making a commitment to excellence is worth striving for.

  • To treat others with respect and kindness is a measure of your spirituality.

And as you keep these thoughts uppermost in your mind, you have the power to be guided by them. Yet, just knowing without thinking how you respond to life is the art of self-awareness and living in the present moment. Being aware of each moment is a part of your true being

Other ways to measure the power of your thoughts is to limit any thoughts that are non-productive. Some of these non-productive thoughts may include:

  • Feeling guilty when you say, “No.” Refusing to cater to the demands of others is not a selfish act. Saying, ‘yes, when you mean ‘no’ may cause resentment.’

  • Feeling ‘stupid’ when you don’t understand something – Rather then make a mistake when instructions are not clear, don’t be afraid to ask for clarification. This is a sign of good judgment.

  • Thinking that everything you do is solely your own doing. Be confident and have enough faith to know that your life is guided by a higher power. This confirms your spirituality.

  • Ignoring opportunities to change – Growth comes with change. Life is a constant state of change. Be ready for any worthwhile challenge or opportunity to grow.

  • Worrying – Some of the best opportunities are missed when you worry and procrastinate until the opportunity has come and gone. Learn to be decisive. What’s the worst possible scenario? How hurt would you feel if you missed a great opportunity?

Whatever you do, and wherever you are in life, pay attention to your thoughts. Any sign of negativity, anger, fear, or procrastination is harmful. Get rid of biased opinions. Be open to other ways of thinking. Make the best of your thoughts and your thoughts will make the best you.

Then, let your new founded self-awareness lead you to a life where you are free to choose and to control your own dreams and goals. That’s your destiny.

Charge At Your Goals

Charging at Your Goals

By

“Success is goals, and all else is commentary.”

Blog-27 This week take time to write down your most important goals. Professional, school, family, money, and health goals should all be clearly written out so you can end your year strong. Today is the perfect day to write down your goals for the rest of the year and review and improve your 5 year goals.

“People with clear, written goals, accomplish far more in a shorter period of time than people without them could ever imagine”. – Brian Tracy

Empower your children! If you have kids in elementary school, high school or college take some time with them this week and help them write out their goals. Remember people that write down their goals are 90 percent more likely to achieve them!

The time is now to take action, Rhinos!

Write down your professional, family, health and money goals on two 3 x 5 cards. Post one card on your mirror and keep one in your pocket, wallet or purse. Keep it on you at all times. Review the one on the mirror in the morning as soon as you wake up and before you go to bed. Review the one on you anytime you need to refocus.

Next, determine the prize! Determine what great things you can reward yourself with when you achieve your goals. If it’s a promotion you seek, plan a weekend trip for when you achieve it. Make it special and important to you!

Fall is the perfect time to analyze, clarify and solidify your most important goals for the rest of the year. The summer vacation is over and its back to the real world. This shift in the seasons will allow you to focus on important projects, goals and issues that you can resolve by the end of the year. This is your opportunity to make a big impact on your life and the life of others. You can accomplish more in the next 4 months then most people accomplish in a year. How????

First write your goals down. Put your most important thoughts, goals and dreams on paper. You need these goals to be posted on your bathroom mirror at home and keep a copy with you at all times. Say your goals aloud twice daily with enthusiasm. This will help your subconscious brain absorb your goals and make them part of who you are. You will begin to “Act As If” you have already achieved your goals and this will increase your commitment and self-confidence.

accomplishment Second, make sure these goals are emotionally meaningful to you and make sure you believe you can achieve them. A negative self-image and self-doubt will prevent you from staying committed to your goals and it will prevent you from going the extra mile to reach them. You will not persist towards a goal if your self-image and your own “self-talk” sabotage your success. Make sure you convince yourself you can achieve your goals, and remove the bad images and thoughts of your past.

Third, take action. Take aggressive, big action. Get out there and make your success happen. Go the extra mile in everything you do, it increases your success and your returns. It’s one thing to write your goals down, another to believe you can achieve them but its an entirely different process to actually get up early, work late and take action every single day towards your goals. The universe rewards action. Don’t whine, don’t complain, don’t look at the obstacles. Focus on your goals and charge until they are yours.

Fourth: celebrate success! When you achieve your goals celebrate the big and little victories they will help re-energize you and keep you charging! Work hard and play hard!

Now get out there and charge, and remember, “Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve” -Napoleon Hill
