How To Make Your Dreams A Reality

Martin Luther King said, “I have a dream”, but he didn’t just have a dream, he had a dream come true.

We all have dreams and if we believe in them with all our hearts and we follow them with passion, they will come true.

What are your dreams?

Take a few moments to think about this. Have you followed through on your dreams or have you let them slip away as life took over? You don’t have to let your dreams slip; you don’t have to brush them away. Whatever it was, think about it now. Do you still want it?

If you want your dreams to become a reality you need to start focusing on them. Just 15 minutes a day is all you need to start turning your dreams into a reality. What can you do in the next 15 minutes that will put you on track to fulfilling your dreams? If you have always wanted to write then why not start now. In fifteen minutes you could have a couple of pages of your first novel written. Even if you just commit to three pages a day, at the end of the month you will have nearly 100 pages written. That’s almost half a novel.

Pursue Your Dreams

by: Carol Janssen

Follow Your Dreams — We see that a lot: on greeting cards, on jewelry, on bumper stickers. Are our dreams as illusive as they seem to be? How can we be more in control over how we make our dreams come true?

When I think of Follow-Your-Dreams, it feels like something passive that I do… that I will sit back and wait for my dreams to lead me somewhere, and let someone or something else do all the work. I want to be more involved with reaching my dreams. How can I do that? By being proactive, by being active, by actually doing something about them. Why not pursue my dreams instead of letting them lead me – to follow?

“To follow” is a passive verb and “to pursue” is an active verb. I want to be actively involved in the realization of my dreams. I know that I can’t be passive and wait for my dreams to happen to me. I need to be in the driver’s seat… to take control, to pay attention, to be actively in pursuit of my dreams. How do I do that?

Make a plan. Nothing happens without a plan. Even if it’s not our own plan, it’s the plan of someone else, or it’s God ’s plan. I know that if I sit down and actually write down my dreams, they become goals. After all, goals are simply dreams with a time frame. And once articulated, then my dreams are much closer to becoming a reality than if I’m passive and simply wish for them to come true.

Be bold. Take action. If I’m actively involved in the culmination of my dreams, then my life will be much more exciting, more fulfilled, and a lot more fun. After all, life is not a dress rehearsal. Life is what happens when we’re making plans. All the clichés and all the wishes will not come true unless I actually do something.

Don’t wait for life to happen to you. Dream big, dream often, and Pursue Your Dreams!

Never Give Up!

by: Kenia Morales

In life we are often faced with unplanned situations which can be both positive and negative. However, I will focus on the negative ones such as dealing with difficult individuals, loss of job, illnesses etc. There are so many ways in which things can go wrong. These circumstances can often be stressful and discouraging. In fact many individuals on their quest to success often give up when presented with this type of situations. Well, if this is your current state or have experienced this in the past; do not give up!

No matter what happens there is always a way to accomplish your goals. While been stressed out sometimes we focus so hard on the negative situations that we overlook the positive things. So, when going thru this unexpected changes keep your cool and re-trace your goal. Write it down and the steps you must take to get there and, last but not least set a reasonable timeframe in which you must accomplish your goal.

I know that sometimes life throw us curves that are really difficult to overcome. However, no dream should ever be impossible and if you think that the time to get to the top would take too long; remember that life itself is compose of many moments together. Therefore, if you stay calm and take one step at a time you will be able to conquer your dreams.

No one said that life was going to be easy! Can you imagine what would have happened if many of our important individuals from the past such as inventors, politicians etc. would have given up? Where would we be today as a society then? So, leaving you with this in mind, just remember; never give up!
