Exposing The Abusive Female, An Interview

exposingtheabusivefemaleback Hi Kim, can you tell us a bit about yourself and your background?

A bit about my background: I have worked in the field of counseling psychology for the last twenty years in both the public and private sector. Over the years I’ve worked with foster care youth, teens in groups homes, domestic violence victims and abusers. My heart has always been the prevention of child abuse. I have always loved writing and was going to go into journalism before psychology but ended up getting my Masters in Psychology in 2004.. I’m currently the President and Founder of the Alliance for Family Wellness, an agency designed for prevention and intervention in intimate partner abuse and child abuse.

Why have you written a book about abusive woman?

I wrote a book on abuse against men because as a Director of an abuse agency I began to notice that men didn’t access counseling services much for domestic violence and I questioned how prevalent abuse was for men. As I began to ask I had many men come forward and tell their story. There stories were so compelling and heart felt I decided that their message needed to be heard. These were masculine successful men who had Shane over the abuse they suffered at the hands of their wives and girlfriends. As I began to tell their stories more men could relate and there emerged a pattern of abusive females and warning signs which I address in my book.

It’s a very interesting topic, what kinds of abuse are you focusing on?

In the book I talk about verbal and emotional, physical, financial and legal

frontcoverwithinitial Are the stories in your book all factual? Have you worked with these men directly?

The stories in my book are all factual stories of men who have experienced abuse. Their identities were changed for privacy reasons as one is a very successful CEO and another is a former professional ball player and they want to remain anonymous.

Why don’t we hear about this more often?

We don’t hear about it more often because there is a level of shame and embarrassment for a man to admit abuse by a woman. However, as we talk about it men will become more comfortable telling their own story. The goal is to create balance and honesty when it comes to the abuse issue and making it not about gender. Abuse is wrong regardless of age, gender or ethnicity.

What can a man do in such a situation?

My book Exposing the Abusive Female can be found on amazon in paperback and ebook coming June 1st.. A percentage of proceeds go to victims of IPA

What kind of Stigma exists surrounding abusive females or their victims today?

The stigma still exists that a man abused by a female must be a weak man and one unable to stand up for themselves which is not the case. Most of the men I interviewed for my book were successful men in many areas of their lives and had the ability to stand up for themselves. Many were raised to not hit women

Where can we get a copy of your book, and future work?

Amazon, Barnes & Nobles, and Kobobooks.com

10,000 Hours with Myrna Sahji Jenkins

Myrna, I love to hear about stories of people mastering a skill and achieving a dream. What was it like dedicating over 10,000 hours to Belly dancing?

Attachment They were the best 10,000 hours of my life. There wasn’t anything extraneous about the time spent because I am happiest when I amAttachment dancing. It hadn’t even occurred to me that the preconceived notion I had to “grind” morning until night for x amount of years so that I could be creative and innovative with my craft was a well studied theory placed in Cover of "Outliers: The Story of Success&... Malcolm Gladwell’s book Outliers and again in Robert Greene’s Mastery. I admit that I was going out on a limb when I started and I questioned myself often, but the works of these two men solidified my resolve and gave much meaning to the time spent. I am sure I will be nostalgic for that period of time where it was simply my mirror and myself communicating about the curves of my body and the sway of my hips. Only the walls in my home can share the story of the dedication I put into my work.

What inspired you to do this?

When I turned 18 I saw a woman named Rachel Brice Belly Dance in a way that wasn’t frivolous, flirtatious or unnecessarily flashy like much of the commercial Belly Dance presented to America. Her serpentine movements were sinuous, sensual and obviously feminine, but they were also strong and proud and it brought me to tears. I balled like a baby and I began to teach myself that very night.

Attachment1 How were you able to train uninterrupted for such a long period of time? Where you working at the time?

Passion. I worked just enough to remain in the world and have a semblance of a life. That work however was not important, it fed the needs of my body but dancing fed my soul.

How did you get into modeling?

When I felt I was as good as I needed to be to perform I knew that I needed to branch out and promote myself. I bought the time of a local photographer and the shoot went so well that what was supposed to be a two hour shoot turned into a 12 hour training session. My many years of dancing, it would seem, had dramatically heightened my body awareness in front of the camera. I feel in control and very able in front Attachment2 of a camera.

Are there any movies or photography work on the horizon?

I’m not sure about traditional acting but I do plan on releasing Belly Dance and Burlesque videos ranging from entertainment to instructional purposes. I have a flood of photographs constantly being released that can be found on my Instagram page kisskillbangbang.

Where can we find out more about you?

I just made a twitter account @SahjiMH (Sahji x Mata Hari) where I will keep friends, family, fans and followers updated on my journey and I’m pretty active on instagram. I have a lot of cool ideas for instagram specifically that I am dying to share with the world.

Interviewing “The Fitness Game” Author Tony Ussery

What is “The Fitness Game ” and what sets it apart from other programs?

fitnessgame The Fitness Game is a program that turns your fitness into a game that becomes a way of life. Your fitness is embedded into your sub-conscious make it as second nature as breathing or eating. It is the only program that I know that focuses on the mind first, which is where the victory of your Fitness Game will come from. Where the mind goes the body will follow.

From your experience in the fitness industry for over 40 years, why do we all struggle so much to lose weight?

We struggle to lose fat not weight. That is the first problem we have the wrong concept of what our true enemy is. It is not weight but the excess fat we carry that is the real problem. Also most people don’t know what to do to fight the fat. There is so many programs and plans out there that say this is the right way to go. Really confusing when you don’t know what the right way is. Also we don’t have the right mind set. To master things in life we must move them from our conscious mind to our sub-conscious mind. That is where the work is really done.

So if you take a lack of knowledge plus having the wrong state of mind how can you even come close to being successful. That where our frustrations come in.

How are people responding to your program and what kind of results can we expect?

Spartan Gets The San Diego SU Cheerleaders Ready People that are doing my program are reach their goals and far beyond. For example I had one woman that came to me wanting to lose weight (Fat) and start running again. Not only did she lose 8 pants sizes, she started running extreme races like tough Mudders and Spartan Races and was sponsored by Nike. She is just one example of the successes our people have.

What you can expect is to go from frustrated to superhuman. you are not only going to win your Fitness Game but you are going to find that you are going to believe and succeed in other parts of your life as well.

How can we stay motivated towards our fitness goals using “TFG?”

Once you change your mindset and your fitness becomes a part of your subconscious, you become passionate about it. With passion you don’t have to give a lot of effort because your energy becomes high to do what you are passionate about. so motivation is never a problem. It becomes like breathing and you don’t need any motivation to breathe on a regular basis.

fitness game How does “The Fitness Game” replace a traditional one-on-one trainer? How can it compliment our existing workouts?

The Fitness Game is a stand alone program or it will totally enhance what ever exercise program you are doing. It will bring clarity to why you are doing what you are doing and boost your perceptions. It will let you see if your current program is inadequate for you. If your trainer is the one for you and you will know, it will help you get a closer working relationship with him or her. You will get more out of your situation.

Can you tell us about the “Spartan Elite Fitness” program?

The Spartan Elite Fitness Program is the exercise part of the Fitness Game. It has level for novice all the way to professional athletes. SEF combines many exercise disciplines, from body weight exercises to Psychometric to Kettlebell and more. It is also done in a unique way that stop you from ever plateauing. SEF is customized for each person to give you the optimal workout every time.

In your Mind and Body Transformation program, how are you incorporating Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP).?

Each mental exercise I have you do are NLP exercises. They are made to grow your mental muscles. To remove the self doubt and limitations that we put on ourselves. We truly are our own worst enemies and these exercises are to change you into your best asset. Even goal setting is enhanced using NLP. I help you bring your goals alive. The reason we feature the mind is that everything starts and stops there. Your Fitness Game is either won or lost their. So I choose to help my people win their game.

Thanks for interviewing Tony, where can we get a copy of your book and check up on your latest developments?

An Interview with Underground Artist Emaculant

Emaculant

First off, great to meet an artist with such integrity. Can you tell us where the name Emaculant came from?

The name Emaculant comes from being told by society everyday that your not perfect your not flawless. We are all perfect in everything we do, perfection is only defined by you.

What album and style are you currently promoting?

I’m promoting my own style since I’m my own artist. My music though can be related to the canibus, the Eminem the nas or rakims. Its very lyrical nothing that is promoted by the majors anymore. The next album I’m promoting is MIC CLUB.

1373225629_MICCLUB You’ve been featured by two record labels, can you tell us about that experience?

Being featured by two record labels is great. The first one is with probably the greatest artist I’ve ever heard in my life Absoloot. ASIAM records represents artists coming as they are and not having to change for anyone. MIC-NIFICENT records I am CEO of is a direct funnel for lyrical rap artist who are shunned out by the majors because they’re music is too elliptical.

You’re also quite the accomplished athlete, with Body Building, Basketball, and Boxing credits to your name, has that influenced your music?

I believe playing sports on a novice and professional level help mold my music. It not only gave me discipline, but also help me perform out the gate on a very high level.

It seems like you’ve been surrounded by music all of your life. What was it like growing up with your mother being an accomplished Opera singer

Though I haven’t seen my mother in many years, when she was around, she taught me a lot in music being a opera singer and composer. She taught .e Melody’s, taught me voice pitches and showed me how to recognize certains notes and keys in a music stanza. She taught me that songs should be mini movies with a beginning middle with a climax and peak, then a end. Music again that was taught to me is ones own, so there is no right or wrong way to make your music, as long as it comes from the heart.

1316955529_12_2011_AlbumArt__3_ What’s the most exciting thing that’s happened in your music career thus far?

The most exciting thing that happen so far for me in music is probably joining forces with Absoloot. Hes about a cause, about making a difference and if you just listen to his latest album Banksters you will see the direction he himself is leading not following.

Where are you taking your career next?

I feel I’m taking my career my music abroad. Im going to take it global. I want every artist with real passion for their art to have a way to exhibit their music, without succumbing to the evil empire we call the majors.

Where can we find out more about you and your up-coming projects?

You can find out more about my upcoming projects like MIC CLUB, and my solo album E=MC Squared through my http://ift.tt/1rWGijZ. Through my social media twitter (emaculant29) instgaram (Emaculant)…or of course just by googling Emaculant.

I want to give thanks to my brother and partner Absoloot, Jackie Robinson, bertrum gillings, jsharpe, wes nile and boon. Also give a shout out to Myrna Jenkins who will be presenting a new wave of dance stay tuned. Shout out to Marie-ange oliver a highly successful leader in our community and my personal inspiration.
