Are Your Role Models Worth Looking Up To?

by: Amy Twain

Many of us have our own role models in order for us to emulate or just to look up to and be inspired by their life story on how they became successful. Just like the way when they say, “choose your friends well”, you must choose your role models well also–since they affect you and you may also pattern how you live your life like theirs. So what are some of the traits of these people worth emulating?

* Good role models love networking with others. They know that knowing all the right people pays off and it helps you to move around if you know a lot of people. Friendships will not only support you, but can help you go places and in a way, help you reach your goals.

* They never stop learning; they believe that learning never stops at school and age must not stop you or anyone from learning new skills and insights. These people know that it’s a big big world out there, and have a voracious appetite for learning new things and they don’t settle for what they already learned.

* They never quit; though faced with occasional setbacks and challenges, they know the value of resilience. These people know that breakdowns may also be the start of breakthroughs. Giving up is not in their vocabulary–it even makes them stronger since they learn the lesson along the way.

* Good role models work hard. These people value hard work and they don’t rest on their laurels which made them even more admirable. They are passionate about their craft and continues to improve to be the best at what they do.

These are just some of the traits and attributes of a good role model worth emulating.
